The moon has been sighted, streets are decorated with beautiful lights. Wearing new outfits, everyone is excited to meet and greet their dear ones. New recipes being tried in the kitchen, new plants in the rooftops add the sparkle. That's the scenario we experience every year.
As things have been a bit different with the pandemic, we attempted to picture some 'stay home' eid traits in paper illustration last year. We wondered if the situation is going to repeat itself and it did, unfortunately.Let's take a tour to a traditional arabian style neighborhood and have a glimpse of their colorful celebration.
P.S: you won't get infected by the visit. πHanging embellishments have been the must have decor for eid in the neighborhood, to light up the darkness while creating the festive mood. Not so crowded mosque far away is calling for prayer.
A very different Eid. Silent and dark. Mostly the crickets chirping outside. But the homes are as always colorful and celebrating. π (Higher volume to feel the night vibe π)
Food definitely brings the main zest here. And some never forget to decorate the balcony too.
The golden glittery moon sneaked out of the dark clouds might be giving that announcement of success.
Plants are a good means of decoration too! Top floor neighbors love a bunch of those.
Finally, closing up with a close-up. A very happy Eid Mubarak to all the beautiful people out there. Let us know if you have enjoyed the tour with us. Keep experiencing adventure through the layers of paper. And feel the beauty of handmade. ✨
