Medieval Tile - A handcrafted mosaic of paper and time

The friend of the bride came to us with a request - she needed something different. Away from the flat, familiar designs; elegant, yet free of florals and henna. As geometry heads, we immersed ourselves in research, shared our explorations, and arrived here - the block tile of medieval mosaic, layered in papers, framing the wedding like a piece of history. Isn’t it fascinating how the precision and intricacy of Medieval Islamic craftsmanship reflect so much more than a skill! They reveal a depth of intention, almost sacred in nature. Perhaps there is something here for us to relearn: to return to that quiet spirituality, and let meaning guide what we create once more ♥ We also couldn’t miss the chance to share a quick, playful quiz with our community — exploring this gorgeous theme and learning a little together. We hope you enjoyed the project. Let us know your thoughts. Stay safe, stay creative, stay tuned! ✨ ⚠️ Spoiler alert - Behind the Scenes Exclusive:
